I can confirm that Michael Willans was our liaison between Hunters and New Mill Management Estate until earlier this year.

The Board of Directors were sorry that Mike had left the business as we had built a strong working relationship with him.

There are several reasons why the Board of Directors would be happy to provide references for Mike. On a personal basis, he operates with integrity and fairness. He was always available, approachable and quick to respond to the Boards requests.

On a professional basis The Board at New Mill were reliant on Mike in a number of areas.

• Ensure we were legally compliant.
• Ensure we followed due process in terms of AGM, meeting edict.
• Understanding the complexity of the lease and fulfillment of it by residents.
• Defended residents if and when appropriate but was always supportive of the board.
• Mike provided a go between between residents and Directors to avoid conflict at a local level of operation.
• Great awareness of Budget requirements and assistance with the annual budget
• Attended additional meetings as requested ( often out of good will )
• His contacts allowed savings to the annual budget that offset the cost of Managemt fees.
• Source of knowledge on legal responsibility and Board members protection.
• Budget control and monitoring of spend.
• Shared best practice from other developments.

The list could go on, but I suggest if you are reading this , then you will read between the lines and conclude that the New Mill Board were very supportive of Mike as an individual. Mike is an all-round good person, his commitment to his work and the running of our New Mill Estate was supported by all who came across him and he had a way to deal with descending voices by managing conversations and conflict.
