This July we are looking to raise funds for a great charity that is close to our hearts at Well Dunn. Families Affected by Eosinophilic Disorders, or FABED, are a registered charity and were founded to raise awareness of Eosinophilic Disorders.
Our aim is to raise another £1,000 for the charity to continue the great work they do. To do this we are pledging to give 50p for every like we get on our Facebook page in July. That means an additional 2,000 likes on our Facebook page so please like and share to help support this great charity.
We have already committed £500 to the charity this month but we want to take this further and help raise the charity raise awareness of Eosinophilic disorders. An extra £1,000 would go a long way to helping support this great charity.
If we reach 2,000 likes in July we will give an extra £500 to take the total to £2000 in July.
You may have read in the papers recently the story of 6 year old Finlay Doolan. You can read his story on the Daily Mail or Manchester Evening News websites. Finlay’s story has touched many people across the UK including those of us at Well Dunn and that is why we are pledging our support for FABED.
Eosinophilic Esophagitis is an allergic inflammatory condition of the esophagus, the tube that connects the mouth to the stomach. White blood cells build up as a reaction to foods or allergens. When eating, these white blood cells attack the food meaning the food is not ingested by the body. Many can modify their diet, take steroid medication or have the esophagus mechanically widened however some are not as fortunate.
You can read more about the charity at http://www.fabed.co.uk/
If you would like to be involved, please visit our Facebook page and Like it. That is all you have to do!
On the 31st July we will count the number of new likes we have had throughout July and announce the grand total we will be sending to FABED.
