TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT SHOULD BE ABOUT BUSINESS GOALS, NOT THE TRAINING PROVIDER'S GOALS. Yes, it should be obvious, but some training professionals are saying it as if it's a revelation. Perhaps now we'll finally see an end to the "apprenticeship" situation, where it's all about training companies getting government funding by getting boxes ticked against YOUR workforce. Identify the training that will help YOUR business, find the trainers to help you achieve it (there are plenty of excellent trainers and training companies on this site for a start) and make training work for YOU. Like it's supposed to.
