Writing a script to read out at an event? Simple tip - use CONTRACTIONS. It's not a school essay, it's talking to people. Read these out loud - which is more you? "Tonight I am going to talk about health and safety. But do not worry, I will try to ensure it will be an enjoyable 30 minutes" or "Tonight I'm going to talk about health and safety. But don't worry, I will try to ensure it'll be an enjoyable 30 minutes" It won't ALL be contractions - say it out loud, listen, write it as YOU said it.
