Summary
When I retired in 2015, mortgages were hard to place. Restrictive Loan-to Values meant large deposits, any blemish on a credit history could virtually rule out placing a mortgage, in fact, a very difficult market for clients.
When I was tempted out of retirement last year, the arena had changed. 95% LTV deals, 40-year terms and even clients in IVAs able to obtain mortgages etc.
The poor performance of investments and pensions has seen the Equity Release market develop into a rapidly growing market sector.
So, I came out of retirement last September and found that I can now obtain mortgages for almost anyone, including Equity Release,
